Faraway Love

When my mind wanders and I think of you,
I feel my heart start to beat.
Your face comes to me in a heartbeat,
I can feel you even though your not here.
I hear your voice, so gentle and warm,
as you were standing next to me.
And all I can think about, is to hold you
in my arms, to feel your body
lying there close to me.

I hold you and talk to you but words don't come out of my mouth.
Your beauty has mesmerized my tongue and I cannot tell you
how much I love you. When I hold you, I will never even dream of
any other woman. And when I do not hold you, my mind cannot think
of anything else but you my faraway love.

Chorus:

When I see you
my body gets warm and my heart beats faster
when you touch me
a flame burns inside me but it doesn't hurt
when I'm with you
life feels like nothing is impossible
when I miss you, and I do that a lot
my heart feels empty and my body so cold

Now I'm not with you but I'm all alone.
Oh, what I wouldn't give to be by your side and hold you in my loving arms.
I would never ever hurt you or break your heart, I hope you know that.
Your love is the one thing I cherish in this world above all else.
And even if I let you down I wish you'll forgive me.

Sleep awaits me but I cannot dream, for your beauty will not let me sleep.
I close my eyes and see an image that is no-one else but you
and as dreams come closer, you take me away to a place I don't know
but it makes no difference because I'm with you and it is you that my belongs to.
Oh, why can't I hold you my love of a lifetime, my faraway love.

Chorus:

When I see you
my body gets warm and my heart beats faster
when you touch me
a flame burns inside me but it doesn't hurt
when I'm with you
life feels like nothing is impossible
when I miss you, and I do that a lot
my heart feels empty and my body so cold

I watch the sky and the stars stare back at me but they don't understand
that I miss your presence like never before. If it rains I feel as if the heavens
weep with me, for even thou I love you, I miss you more than my soul can endure.
And while the sun shines from a clear blue sky, the world seems happy
but when I feel my loneliness surface even the brightest day turns sour
for I miss you so much, my faraway love.

A Bard's Farewell

You soon will be out facing danger and strife,
You soon will be fighting and risking your life.
I know there is use for my dagger and sword;
Alas, I will not be along.

We all have my limits, and I'm nearing mine;
And so, with your pardon, I'll have to decline,
For I've an appointment with a woman and wine,
And gaming and music and song.

It's been far too long since I've gambled and drank,
Too long in that dungeon, disgusting and dank,
Too long amidst refuse, repulsive and rank,
Too long without love and romance.

Before I embark on some hazardous quest,
Before once again I am put to the test,
If I don't take time to recover and rest,
My sanity hasn't a chance.

It's not that your company isn't a thrill,
I'm truly impressed with your courage and skill,
And happy to journey beside you; but still,
I need to be free for a time.

When we meet again, we'll have stories to share,
So with this song; good luck, and take care.
May travel be pleasant, and fortune be fair,
And may you find wealth and keep your health.

Mage's duel

One bright day a mighty mage came and challenged the wizard named Morganbach
For he was inferior to the other mage, Morganbach demanded that he be allowed
to bring with him his friends, the adventurers called MUPPETS.
The mage laughed and agreed, not knowing that one of them would prove his own undoing.

In a place far, faraway the mages went to battle against one another.
Although the mage more powerful had laughed at the MUPPETS,
he still cheated and brought with him two brothers and two more warriors.
Spell were cast under the heat of the sun that alone saw the mages duel.
Lightning sizzled and the two nameless warriors died.
Lightning struck the other mage with full force but he didn't yield, oh no.
He summoned an unearthly cold which freezed Morganbach but
this wasn't enough to kill him. MUPPETS joined the duel and a battle began in earnest.

The brothers of the mage more powerful attacked the MUPPETS and
Morganbach with all their strength but the MUPPETS didn't give up, oh no.
Two ladies, Jack 'n' Shan, once again decided to save the day but
were unable to so for all their powers and strength.
Then when things were at a knife's edge,
out of nowhere he came, Dam, the bard most magnificient.
With fire he burnt the mage more powerful, who perished in an raging
inferno and in an explosion.
As the mage died the MUPPETS celebrated victory for they had once again
overcome a foe more powerful.
